Casodex Tablet Uses :  Casodex 50 mg Tablet is a
non-steroidal anti-cancer medicine used in men along with other
specific agents for the treatment of prostate cancer.
This medicine is not recommended for use in females, children, and adolescents. 

What is it prescribed for? Prostate cancer

Hypersensitivity, Abdominal pain, Nausea and Vomiting, Flu like symptoms
Unusual bleeding or bruising, Loss of Appetite, Yellowing of skin and eyes

Contraception :  Effective contraception methods must be used during
treatment with this medicine and until 130 days after stopping the therapy.

Use in pediatrics :  This medicine is not recommended for use in children and adolescents.

Diabetes Mellitus : The combination of Casodex 50 mg Tablet and GnRH
agonists should be used with caution in patients with a history of diabetes
mellitus due to the increased risk of elevated blood glucose levels.
Close monitoring of blood glucose levels is recommended for these patients.   

Interaction with Alcohol :  Interaction with alcohol is unknown. It is advisable to consult your doctor before consumption.

prostate gland, thereby stopping the growth and spread of cancer cells.

Disease Interactions :

The use of Tamoxifen is contraindicated in women with a history of deep vein
thrombosis or pulmonary embolus or in women who require concomitant coumarin- type anticoagulant therapy.
